The Arthritis Foundation states that osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common chronic disease of the joints. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) estimates that osteoarthritis affects over one-third of the senior population. This presentation will discuss this form of arthritis to include the medications used to manage this chronic disease. Are you taking prescription medicines, buying Over-The-Counter medicines, vitamins and nutritional supplements? Do you wonder if you are taking them correctly? Do you have questions such as: “What time of the day is best to take them?” “With food or without?” Make an appointment to meet with Pharmacist Bill, one-on-one and he will assess your medications, vitamins and supplements for effectiveness, appropriateness, alert you to side effects and identify any potential drug interactions. Bring your medications and supplements or a detailed list of what you are taking and bring all your questions.
