Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels focuses on caring for individuals, whose diminished mobility makes it hard to shop for food, prepare meals or socialize with others. Due to COVID-19, Age Well Senior Services has worked to ensure all previously registered recipients of Meals on Wheels receive their food deliveries, with minor amendments, with no service disruption. At this time, new applicants are not being accepted for Meals on Wheels. However, temporary emergency delivery requests will be considered. Meals are prepared in the kitchens of their contracted caterers. A suggested donation of $9.00 is requested, although no one is turned away for inability to pay. Congregate Meal Program (Ages 60 and over)

Due to COVID-19, Age Well Senior Services has temporarily closed all sites and the lunch program has temporarily been converted to a frozen meal “grab and go” program. Frozen meals are available on Monday through Friday starting at 11:00 am until supplies run out or 1:00 pm at the Sea Country Senior and Community Center on. A suggested donation of $5.50 is requested, although no one is turned away for inability to pay. For more information or to reserve your meal, please contact the Age Well Nutrition Coordinator.

Great Plates Delivered Program

The Great Plates Delivered Program (GPD) is a three-meal home delivery program for at risk seniors, fully operated by Age Well. The GPD program has been extended and set to expire on October 9, 2020. Seniors must successfully complete an application directly with Age Well. There are two ways to enroll in the program:

  1. Complete an application on the Age Well website: www.MyAgeWell.org The individual entering the data on the application clicks on the white “Great Plates Delivered Program” box that appears on the screen. As they answer the eligibility questions, the form will let them know immediately if the senior is or is not eligible for the program based on the answers to the questions. Entries can be made anytime, 24/7.
  2. Call the Age Well call center at (949) 382-6099 (Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST). If the senior is unable to use a computer and does not have anyone to help them complete the online application on our website, they can call the call center for assistance with completing their application. Note that individuals using our call center may experience extended wait times due to high call volumes.
