Volunteers

The City of Laguna Niguel Parks and Recreation Department offers a variety of special events throughout the year that provide volunteer opportunities for residents ages 13 and older. The Department cannot accept court-ordered volunteers.

Volunteer Qualifications

  • Must be at least 13 years old (some events require volunteers 15+ years old)
  • Must have a valid email address that is checked frequently
  • Must be able to interact with staff, volunteers, members, and guests
  • The City of Laguna Niguel does not accept court-ordered volunteers.

Becoming a Volunteer

1. Create a Helper Helper account.

2. Once you've created a Helper Helper account, sign up for a Current Volunteer Opportunity.

3. Submit Liability Waiver to Recreation Supervisor (via the Helper Helper app).

4. If needed, Recreation Supervisor will contact you if LiveScan is required.
