Accessible Pedestrian Signal Push Buttons

Project Description:

This project provides ADA compliant accessible facilities at 6 intersections along various arterials, including Alicia Parkway, La Paz Road, Crown Valley Parkway, and Golden Lantern. This project replaced traditional push buttons with vibro-tactile buttons, as well as a customizable audio broadcast of messages and sounds for sight-impaired pedestrians.  

Project Schedule: 

• Award of Construction Contract: October 2022
• Start of Construction: October 2022
• Construction Complete: April 2023
• Current Status: Construction is 70% complete. 

Project Funding:

• FY 21-22: $50,000 (CDBG)
