Commissions, Committees & Boards
In an effort to provide greater community participation and input in local government, the Laguna Niguel City Council established various Commissions, Committees and Boards to review City programs, projects and community concerns. Citizen participation in local government plays an important and active role in the City of Laguna Niguel.

The primary role of City Commissions, Committees and Boards is to review and make recommendations to the City Council on matters within their scope of responsibility, and to promote increased public input and citizen participation in the determination of City policies and program implementation.

The annual recruitment period for the various Commissions, Committees and Boards takes place toward the end of each year, usually around October or November. If you are interested in applying for a City Commission, Committee or Board, please contact the City Clerk at (949) 362-4300 to obtain an application.
