Military Support Committee

The Military Support Committee was originally established on April 3, 2007 to sustain and enhance the adoptive relationship between the City of Laguna Niguel, the USS McClusky and the First Battalion, Fourth Marine Regiment.   In anticipation of the decommissioning of the USS McClusky in 2015, the City Council officially adopted the USS Stockdale on April 1, 2014.

The Committee meets on the 3rd Monday of each month at 12:00 Noon (except in January and February when it meets on the 4th Monday) in Council Chambers and consists of 20 members including two City Council Members who serve as Co-Chairs. The Committee also established several Ad-Hoc Committees, including Ex-Officio Members, to help carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Committee.

The Military Support Committee is also supported by the Laguna Niguel Military Support Foundation, a 501 (c)(3), non-profit organization.
